
Membership
There will be three (3) categories of membership in the Puerto Rican Cultural Society. These will be as follow:
a) Financial - These members will be those that contribute to the annual fund raising campaign. Their term as members will be for no less than one year from their time of contribution and no more than two. Except that they will become members every time they contribute for as long as they contribute to the campaign. Their benefits will be those identified in the annual campaign brochure and they will always have voting privileges as long as they are identified as financial members.
b) Active - These members will be those that actively participate as members of committees of the PRCS, as members of the board and/or are always supporting the PRCS by attending the activities and supporting the PRCS in all respects even though they may not be able to contribute financially. Their term will be for as long as the Board of Trustees considers them active participants. At the start of the fiscal year, the Board will consider the names of those individuals that have supported the PRCS and classify them as active members. They will have voting privileges for as long as they are identified as active members.
c) Honorary - Every so often, some members of the community (Latino, Puerto Rican or other), is identified for reasons not directly related to the PRCS but who may have brought honor, support and recognition to the Puerto Rican community and as such, the Board of Trustees can confer on them the designation of Honorary member of the PRCS. They will be considered members for life and will have all the privileges of an active member.
